BTW: I use linux & that option isn't available. Checked this page (it
was on the 'return to' page & easier to see the fps):

<https://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/Bubbles/>

Linux:
  Firefox 17.0.1: 2 - 0 fps (starts at 2 fps & then drops to 0)
  SeaMonkey 17.0.1: 2 - 1 fps (starts at 2 fps & then drops to 1)
(both drive Xorg to 93% cpu & bring the system nearly to a dead stop)
  Opera 12.11: constant 5 fps. Opera drives the cpu to ~70%, but doesn't
screw up Xorg, Xorg stays around 18%. The system is still workable.

Just tested on a different machine (laptop w/Intel graphics):

Firefox 5-7 fps
SeaMonkey 5 fps
Opera 12 fps.

On my iMac (24" year 2008, 3.06GHz with NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS):
Firefox 8fps
SeaMonkey 10-12fps
