What is the latest capability of synchronization - can in synch news

No. In fact, AFAIK Firefox Sync does not cover any mail & news features,
except for saved passwords.
I don't own a notebook (too heavy to carry around every day when
visiting customers, and as long as it's going to stay in the office
anyway, I get a better machine with better ergonomics in a desktop) --
instead, when away from home I use Portable Seamonkey in an USB hard
disk. So I had to figure out some minimally practical way to deal with
the issue.
1. Set up Firefox Sync. That takes care of bookmarks, history and passwords.
2. Use IMAP mail accounts. Mine are hosted on Google Apps, but any
decent IMAP provider will do. That takes care of the mail-store-sync
problem.
3. For day outings and short trips, that's it: I don't mind missing a
couple days from blogs and newsgroups.
4. For longer trips (like spending the holidays at my folks'), I
basically copy the entire "News" and "Feeds" folders from my main
machine to the Portable Seamonkey profile. Have to copy it back when I
get home. But it does work.
It's not perfect, and in fact I would love a more comprehensive sync
solution, but it does cover my meager needs.
