That was strange... Ubuntu indicated there was a new version on ppa
(Ubuntuzilla), but when I installed, it looks like it just reinstalled
2.14.1??  Any idea what might've happened??

I had no problems in my Debian stable with old SM binary from last year that I kept updating through its internal updaters.
