I received two quick responses, and one of them disappeared right after
I read it. I think the question was whether right-clicking on the Inbox
and repairing it solves the problem. No, the messages do not reappear.
And I'm not allowing SeaMonkey to do anything with the messages
automatically. I don't see any instruction or preference that would
explain what is happening.
I also meant to include that my OS is Windows XP Professional 2002 with
Service Pack 3.
