Incompatible options. Plain text is plain text; by definition
it cannot specify a font (or even a font family such as "monospaced").
You will have to select one or the other; if you select "plain text",
then you will be dependent on your reader to select "use monospaced
font for plain text messages"; if you select "formatted", then you
rely on your reader's e-mail client to be able to handle the format
your e-mail client uses (HTML).

I'll have to reformulate my question so it is not only
answerable but will meet my needs. I.E. I need to rethink my
goal.
