Some of the text characters have dots missing and are malformed,
also some reports of images having problems too, but I didn't see
that problem. It seems to be only certain sized text, for me it was
mostly the text in the tab titles and the menus. I could still read
them, but it was hard enough on the eyes I didn't want to keep using
it. If you follow the link to the bug I posted, right under the bug
description are some attachments with screen shots of the problem
(they are from Foxfire, but the problem is the same on SeaMonkey).
Also it looks like most of the people having the problem (including
me) have ATI video cards or chipsets so you may not see the problem.
Also changing gfx.content.azure.enabled from true to false in
about:config corrected the problem for me and I haven't seen any ill
effects from that setting so I am going to leave the Microsoft
KB2670838 patch on and run with gfx.content.azure.enabled false
until they get the problem fixed.

I'm not sure what you are asking with the "so what?", or why you
even commented if you are not having the problem and your
gfx.content.azure.enabled default is false.
If you are asking why your gfx.content.azure.enabled is default
false and mine and others is default true I don't know the answer.
Perhaps it's because your OS is 32 bit or you have hardware
acceleration turned off or your video card is blacklisted, I don't
know how the default is determined and I don't care enough to go to
the source and find out.
I think that the default is SM who set this. You said that you put
this variable to false ... perhaps now you set it as the default value.
"So what" .. because with my gfx.content.azure.enabled is false and
with that value i have the same problem as explained here: (the false
value did not correct the problem)

Click on any plane and then click on Cockpit View in the box on the left
hand side. I’m getting lots of shimmering and breakup of the moving
picture. This happens on both my PC’s. The site owner says no one else
has complained.
However, if I click the switch under the picture and change to Aircraft
View, the picture is stable with no problems.
What can be causing this? It almost looks like an anti-aliasing issue.
No the default value on my machine is TRUE, and it is currently
showing "user set" false. SM does set the default value, but it is
set according to the capabilities of the machine and is not set the
same on every machine.
I wouldn't necessarily expect it being false would fix the problem
above to which you refer because I have seen no indications that it is
the same problem. I can't test the problem to which you refer because
it needs a Google Maps plugin that I don't have installed (and have no
desire to install). It may be caused by the same problem, but bug
812695 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=812695 has mostly
to do with the font problem like I saw and occurs after Windows 7
Platform update KB2670838 is installed like mine did so I wouldn't
assume it to be the same cause.
