But on the comcast site i found also
http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/internet/configure-outlook-express-xfinity-internet

with a different setting for the smtp part.

I just tested this using the following:

openssl s_client -connect smtp.comcast.net:465

This did connect to the server and after a few seconds I got the prompt:

220 omta20.westchester.pa.mail.comcast.net comcast ESMTP server ready

So it appears that you want port 465 with SSL/TLS specified for the connection security.
