To save me searching through 9000+ back postings, can anyone give me
a quick answer to the question how to make a Sea Monkey Mail shortcut
on an Apple Macbook OSX 10?
So far after installing a perfectly good version that runs smoothly
on my old Macbook, I noticed that no Shortcut to Sea Monkey MAIL is
placed on the desktop the way it is on Windows installations of the
program.
The only way so far, to open SM Mail, is to click on the Main Sea
Monkey program in the 'Dock' then click on the small MAIL icon in the
taskbar of the browser, or use the drop down WINDOW menu and choose
Mail from there.
Sadly, on the mac the program doesn't appear to add the Mail program
separately from the Browser. If I could find the Mail program .app
I could make my own shortcut but there ain't one like there is on
Windows 7 where you have a .exe to do anything you like with.
Anyone got an answer to this? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? !
Thanks Jeremy
With SM open, select SeaMonkey/Preferences/Appearance from the Main Menu Bar
for:
"When SeaMonkey starts up, open" -- select Mail & Newsgroups only
Quit SM
Relaunch SM from The Dock
Only the Mail/News window should open
