Makes sense to me, David, if I tick a box to indicate I want to delete *ALL* cache contents, then I expect SM to delete *ALL* cache content.

I seem to recall, hereabouts, people using "Trash" as a temporary storage. IMHO, cache falls into the same category .... and certainly not meant for permanent storage!!
