The correct command is /opt/seamonkey/./seamonkey
I am now replying with a very old SM invoked with
/archiv/seam/0602010118-gcc335/seamonkey/seamonkey -no-remote -P t32
parallel to my running SM 2.21a1.
And to be really sure, i have changed the owner to root:root for archiv
and below and called the old SM as user hafi.
Now i will undo that. haf:hafi is much more convenient. :)

I stand corrected. So long since I used a command line in Linux. Rarely
needed.
Both work for me.
As for, bash: downloads/seamonkey/seamonkey: No such file or directory
I get that error trying to run the 32-bit SeaMonkey on my 64-bit OS
without the other required 32-bit dependencies installed.
Why reinforce the stereotype that you have to be a geek to use Linux?
Just put a launcher on the desktop. :)
