I have a primary machine - desktop at home and a secondary laptop that
roams with me.
Would it be possible AND reasonable to have the laptop set to leave mail
on the server and the desktop not.
Desired result would be:
1. if desktop machine read the mail it would not appear subsequently
on the laptop.
2. if the mail was read first by the laptop the desktop could later
read/download it.
Comments?
TIA
That is exactly what I do. I have 4 stationary systems with access to
the mail accounts and two traveling laptops with access to the same accounts
Only one system is set to delete messages from the server while the rest
of the systems can read but not delete messages.
This functionality can be set in the <mailbox-name>View Settings For
This Account> Server Settings> Leave Messages on Server check-box.
Note that this setting must be configured for each mail account on each
system.
