I've had a few SeaMonkey crashes when loading particular webpages. There are
two weirdnesses with this:

(1) When there's a crash, I force quit, but there's an orphan process that runs
away with the processor and I have to manually quit it (through Activity
Monitor, as it's not registered to my user account).

(2) I had thought that maybe these pages were running Java and that this was
the problem---because one of them was a page with Java applets on it---but I
just opened Sage (local, not over the web) and ran 3D graphics through Jmol,
which called Java and it ran just fine. Maybe it's some OpenGL-ish thing?
One of the pages that causes the crash is Mathworld's page on the torus. (Of
course I can't give the link here because I'd have to go to the page to copy
it... but mathworld.com and then searching for 'torus' should pull it up to
anyone trying to replicate this weirdness.)

I'm running OS X.7 and SM 2.17.1. I also have the latest version of Java
installed.

Any clues on what might be going on with (1) or (2)?

Thanks, all.
