Upgrade to 2.19!
I have just updated one of my machines to 2.19 and the bug has been fixed.
Between my first and second message I changed to;
User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/22.0 SeaMonkey/2.19
No change in the displayed characters.
And selecting UTF-8 only effected the displayed message, not the next
messages with similar coding.
