I do not remember this Yes button. Perhaps because i have set the above
pref to 2 since eternity.
However since I updated to 2.19 the cursor points to the C in the
word Confirm at the top left of the box.
I do not remember this box. One of the others may. Perhaps my guess
regarding the above pref will help. Try about:config with the filter
cross and play with the value of mailnews.nav_crosses_folders.
Or wait for answer of others.

Hartmut, I don't have a user.js anymore, and I see the popup the OP
mentions.
I use the space-bar to automatically-advance through my POP3 email
messages and folders, and as each folder is completed / marked as read,
and before I depart that folder, a "Confirm" popup appears with the
wording exactly as detailed in the OP's complaint, with the "_Y_es"
button highlighted. If I then hit the space-bar confirming I wish to
leave that folder, I advance to the next unread folder.
I don't really understand the OP's mention of his cursor-placement over
the "C"' in the "Confirm" title of the popup box, as my cursor stays
wherever I left it last, which could be anywhere on the screen display,
and the mouse-cursor does not affect the messaging client until I tell
it to do something.
Only my space bar controls the advancement process. The cursor-position
is normally irrelevant. Barry.
