If I go into about:data, right-click a domain, and choose the only
option, "Forget about this domain," nothing happens.

A new tab appears with options, what to forget.

Not on my machine.

After selecting a domain

Yes, OK.

After clicking on 'Forget About This Domain' on the context-menu of the
domain

Nope, doesn't happen here.

In this case only 'Content Preferences' is selectable. After selecting

Now 'Forget This Data' is clickable.

What you describe would be acceptable. It's not what happens here.

However, since we're discussing it and I'm playing with it, I just discovered that if I try to /delete/ a selected domain, your "Forget" tab does appear. That's probably what /should/ happen when I select "Forget about this domain" from the context menu, but it doesn't. not in 2.19, anyway.

The context option says "Forget about this domain." The meaning is
crystal clear: reset all its prefs to their default values.

Forget 'what'? *fg*

If you offer me the option of doing that in one click, then when I
accept your offer you should follow through and act on it. Or else
don't make it.

There are different options that may be forgotten. There could be an
option 'Forget All Of This Domain', yes. Additional.

That's all that's offered in 2.19.

If I left-click the domain, just to select it, I can go through the various tabs and manually set each pref back to default. That's a clumsy workaround if I want set the entire domain back to default.
