I do have set in preferences to advertise as FireFox
I'd been having problems with the Apple Store and a number of other
sites until I realized that there has been a recent update to the
Ghostery tracker blocking add-on that not only reset the blocker to
defaults but has also strictly clamped down on javascript. This holds
true for all browsers that can use Ghostery - SM, FF, Safari, etc.; all
browser versions.
Once I whitelisted the Apple Store everything went back to working just
fine. If you use Ghostery try pausing it and see if things work - if
they do you can then turn it back on and whitelist the domain. PITA,
but it's the solution if you use Ghostery.
What is Ghostery?
it an extension that keeps up with with items such as Google Analytics
and other back ground items. I used it for a while but found it more of
pest than being useful.
It's all in how you set it up...I had it working just as I wanted, then
this new update came along and blew up all my preferences by resetting
them to defaults. And it's also more vigilant about scrips to boot. So
I had to go back and look things over and now it's back to working how I
prefer.
Better Ghostery than Growl, IMO..!
