A major rewrite of Password Manager made that method obsolete.  It no
longer works.

Have you tried the Remember Passwords extension?  The Web site for
SeaMonkey says: "Not available for SeaMonkey 2.21"; but it works just
fine anyway.  You can get it at
<https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remember-passwords/> if
you spoof Firefox.  A SeaMonkey-specific link to this extension does not
work.

You might have to tweak it to install it in SeaMonkey.  If you have a
problem, reply in this thread.

Note that neither the old change nor this extension will work for all
passwords.  The logins for some Web sites are contrived to prevent users
from saving passwords.
