So: click on a You Tube video, activate Flash.
I get the large "Start" arrow, and sometimes (sometimes not) see a
(unmoving) picture from the video. Click on the arrow.
Then I get the elapsed time "thermometer" and the information bar,
plus an endlessly turning circle. If I point to any location on the
thermometer I get a small (postage-stamp size) picture of what the
video shows at that point. However, I can't get the video to run.
Video from other sources, such as the TV networks (ABC, CBS, CNN) and
videos embedded in the various ads all work fine (well, NBC is an
exception, but it's always been a problem).
You Tube worked fine in my old XP computer. What am I missing? Some
plug-in or extension? Some Preference setting? All suggestions
gratefully accepted.
