David, have you tried using the middle button of the three up in the top
right corner of your SM screen?? i.e. not the dash that minimises the
screen to the task bar, nor the 'X' that closes the screen but the
middle one which, on my Linux screen, shows as "Restore".
Let it reduce the screen to whatever size it wants, then you adjust that
screen to whatever size you want. Your system/SeaMonkey should remember
that size!! (Or do you have to quit using the *icon* in the top *left*
to get the size remembered?? (One day I'll remember which))
