If I RMB copy image SM used to copy the image to the clip board.
In 2.21 it seems to copy the image location to the clipboard, not the
image.
Perhaps you do CTRL-V into notepad instead of the "Composer" part
of SM
You can't paste/insert an image into a plain-text editor.
That's correct. So when he paste the url text instead of the picture -
this is because the copy phase is incorrect.

Sorry, that was, to me, incoherent at best.
The copy/paste function is working correctly.
Select and copy.
Then, depending on what your target application is, the OS and
application will decide what gets pasted.
It's got nothing to do with SeaMonkey.
SeaMonkey is, for this problem, working correctly, i never said the inverse.
Just what i have said ... he got a problem during the "copy" phase.
I say that because i use extensively a paste of an image into Irfanview
.. all goes well except that sometime the paste did not put the image,
but only the link text.
