Has anyone figured out how to use dropbox (2. GB free)
with SeaMonkey?
In other words, no matter which computer you are using the SM
email, news, and bookmarks would appear as the same.
Of course, there might be 'issues' if two people tried to use
the same SM account at the same time !-)
The only issue I have with using Dropbox and Seamonkey is that when I
ask Dropbox to let me view my files on Dropbox.com instead of my local
Dropbox folder, it forces me into Internet Explorer -- I can't figure
out how to change that.
But are you asking if Dropbox can be used to sync Seamonkey features
on different computers?
The "Sync" feature currently in Seamonkey does that for bookmarks (but
not for passwords).
For email, what do you want that's not provided by IMAP? Do you want
to remove emails from the server using POP3, then store them in a
Dropbox folder so they'd be accessible from a different computer that
also uses Seamonkey?
Apparently you have not used DropBox the way I was asking ;-)
My email servers are currently all POP.
What I thought it might do is to let one access the same-appearance for
email, news, browser history from either computer by having the SM data
'live' on DropBox.
