I want to leave Explorer for one of the above, but which one ? Is the Monkey as
secure and elaborated as the Fox ? Can I just download and erase Explorer
afterwards ?
Thanks for all your help and explanation.

MSIE is only the browser, as is Firefox.
Seamonkey is the browser + email client + chatzilla (IRC client) + composer (simple html editor) + address book The browser part of Seamonkey uses almost the same code, but there are some differences.

Mozilla also has the Thunderbird email client, again very similar to the email client part of Seamonkey. If you use both a browser and email client, Seamonkey is more compact than Firefox + Thunderbird, with more functions. Which is part of the reason I use seamonkey. (All 3 use the Gecko engine for internet access.)

I would say that if anything Seamonkey is somewhat more stable than Firefix, as new features are first introduced in Firefox. (Which started out as a test bed for new mozilla suite enhancements.)
