What pert of your profile is using all that space you want to free up?
I see two main possibilities - Mail and Cache, most probably Cache.
If that really is the case,
- create a new directory somewhere else
- clear your existing cache (Options -> Advanced -> Cache)
- change your "Cache Folder Location" to the new directory.
