Here's a typical example:

http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/video/megyn-kelly-part-2/n44076

Click on the URL, screen comes up and displays a "Start Flash Player"
message. Click on same, and after a brief pause the commercial plays.
After that, the "Play" symbol appears on screen, and, when clicked,
resolves to the endlessly spinning circle and the message "Buffering".
Yes, endless. No matter how long I wait that's all the further it goes.

Am I missing a plug-in or extension? Preference?
Advice greatly appreciated.

W7, SM 2.22.1

I have the same OS and SM version, with AdBlock Plus.

I don't have SM set to "Always ask" for Flash videos, so they normally just play without a prompt.

In this case, I get a blank video pane, then an "apology" that they can't load a message from their sponsors (wanh...). In the upper right corner of the video pane, a clock counts down by seconds: 20, 19, 18... When it gets to zero, the video plays normally. I don't have to click "Play."

I have a similar experience at hulu.com; however, some ads do slip through and have to be muted.
