If I understand the above, whatever you did was in SM not the server.  True?

In Windows "folder" is ambiguous. From the user interface it is often not obvious if a folder object is a directory of a file. In normal SM "inbox" is a file. In this IMAP account a sub-directory "INBOX.sbd" is being created, but the extension does not show in the SM mail client. So let's not use the term folder to describe a data location.

The only thing I know to set is the "Local Folder". In all my accounts it is of the form; "X:\\\AccountName\MAIL". Any reason it should be different for IMAP? I no of no way to edit it, only browse to it.
