Simple. Click the account name, "View settings for this account." The
first setting on the main panel is "Account Name." Type whatever name
you like. While you're there, you can do the same for your other
accounts.
That only works for the account names.
By his example it appears he wants to edit newsgroup names. Like maybe
change m.support.seamonkey to seamonkey.
Perhaps you're right. You're a better mind-reader; I just went with what
he said in the subject line.
I seem to recall there's a pref in about:config for abbreviating/not
abbreviating NG names... On my system, I see "m.s.seamonkey" and
"m.d.a.seamonkey" not "mozilla.support.seamonkey" and
"mozilla.dev.apps.seamonkey."
