Ah... I've just found that the presence of the "Reply to List" option is not updated until I actually open or preview an email. If I just select an email (which I know was sent to a mailing list) in the thread pane and click the arrow next to Reply, there's no "Reply to List" option. But if I show the message pane, the options are updated and "Reply to List" does appear under the Reply options.

Similarly, if I close the message pane and select another email which was not sent to a list, the "Reply to List" option is still available, until I show that email in the message pane.

Although it seems a bit quirky, I can see why this would happen; SeaMonkey is evidently not reading the headers and updating the available options until the email is opened. I guess I don't usually notice this behaviour since I'm usually reading the email immediately before replying, but didn't have the preview open when poking around to see what Identity Chooser did!

Today I installed the "Identity Chooser" add-on. After doing so, the
"Reply to List" option was no longer available, even when viewing emails
with a list-post header where it had previously been available. The
down-arrow next to "Reply" is still there, but the only option it gives
is "Reply". I disabled, and then removed, Identity Chooser but there's
still no "Reply to List" option.

Starting SeaMonkey in safe mode doesn't help. As an experiment, I
created a new profile and copied one of the mail folders from my default
profile into that. Starting with that profile, the "Reply to List"
option IS available. So it looks like something is messed up in my
default profile...

Rather than copying everything from my current default profile to a new
one (which is quite a lot to do), does anyone have any idea how to
restore the "Reply to List" option in my default profile?

I'm not averse to editing config files etc. if necessary; I've done it
before to fix problems, but can't find the appropriate option in this
case. I've tried comparing my current profile folder to a backup and
nothing stands out (although I don't have a particularly recent backup,
so there are quite a lot of differences).

Thanks,
Mark.
