This appears to be a carry over from Thunderbird, as it does the same
and worse as I have observed - bug updated.
Why would you want to do that? Local Folders is for email, not newsgroups.
I have several Local Folders within my Filed Mail Folder that I use for
saving particularly interesting or instructive NG posts in - like music
Tab sheets, 3D artistry tips, my own postings of picture of my model
airplanes, etc. I should think this common practice.
