SeaMonkey updated to 2.29 on Sept 9.

Just tried to play a Flash video at nbc.com and SM said I needed to
install a plugin. I let proceed and closed SM when the installer said
to. Restarted SM. Went to add-ons manager, no Flash plugin, only
Quicktime.

Uninstalled SM. Downloaded full installer from Mozilla. Installed. Ran
Flash installer. Firefox has the Flash plugin, SM does not. Anyone else?

I wonder if having Firefox installed as well as SeaMonkey is relevant?
Could it be that the Flash installer looks for Firefox, finds it,
installs for Firefox, then stops looking so never even tries to install
for SeaMonkey?

Mark.

Not true of Mac OS. Any browser will see the plugin and use it.

On mac Plugins are are installed in the User/Internet Plugins Folder or the the Main Library /Internet Plugins Folder and is shared by all Browsers/email Clients that use plug ins.
