The SeaMonkey project is proud to present SeaMonkey 2.31: The new
major
release of the all-in-one Internet suite is available for download
now!
Building on the same Mozilla platform as the newest Firefox
release, it
delivers the latest developments in web technologies such as HTML5,
hardware acceleration and improved JavaScript speed.

SeaMonkey 2.31 is available in 26 languages, for Windows, Mac OS X and
Linux.

Can someone test the JPG attachment issue in newsgroups while I wait
for
the new version to show up in the Ubuntuzilla repository?

It's not changed - still does not display & only shows a graphic icon. I
just tested the file in mozilla.test.multimedia.

Ah crap. Does anyone know if this same problem exists in Thunderbird,
or is it isolated to Seamonkey?

The test image in mozilla.test.multimedia displays properly in
Thunderbird, and so do the images in the alt.binaries.pictures.scenic
newsgroup on Usenet.

Not here. See the test posts with jpg attachments, set View - set View Attachments Inline. The image /should/ show in the message display body but does not. It does work in mail accounts.
