Have you tried creating a new user profile?
downloading to a different directory?

which means the problem was something in the user profile..

Maybe because SSL is now considered insecure & disabled?    have a look at
security.tls.version.min
in about:config;   1=SSL is diasabled (min version allowed is TLS 1.0)
set to 0 to enable SSL v3

no idea about the other two issues - sorry :(
