Have you tried launching Seamonkey in Safe Mode (Help -> Start with
AddOns Disabled)?
I don't have any problems there (despite heavy use of NoScript and
AdBlock Plus, with appropriate whitelisting).
There could be something with Windows or hardware, but to me, this one
smells like a problem with something not quite right in the Seamonkey
user profile, especially when I'm seeing other "Works For Me" responses
in this thread. Even if you don't have any extensions installed,
sometimes there's something in the profile that isn't right, that's
causing problems.
The normal troubleshooting approach is to start with Safe Mode, and then
reenable extensions one at a time, to try to identify a problem
extension. You can also do a permanent reset (which does a complete
reset of personal prefs settings), and then manually re-do any
non-default settings.
I've found that occasionally, restarting in Safe Mode, then restarting
again in normal mode is enough to clear odd profile behavior.
