Hi, does anyone know of another backup program other then MozBackup for

What do you find unsatisfactory about MozBackup? I'm not trying to be
contentious, just curious.

I'm not aware of any other backup tools, other than direct copying of
the profile data.

And of course, in Linux and Mac, that's the only way.

Yeah, use any backup program including simple copy command to copy the
contents of %APPDATA%\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\ (in Windows) to some
other safe location or media.

Easy enough to get to, although non-technical users tend to find the use
of the environment variable intimidating, and that in default settings,
the location of %APPDATA% folder is hidden from the Windows Explorer.

Since I moved my profiles away from %APPDATA% onto a difference hard
drive, that would not work for me. To me, profiles are data; so I have
them on my data drive, not my software drive.

But you know enough about profiles to know to relocate them, and how to
get to the contents. The underlying principle is the same, of accessing
the profiles folder(s) directly, even if not located somewhere in %APPDATA%.

Something that piqued my curiosity is whether MozBackup will do backups
of a profile that's not located in %APPDATA%. Initially, it doesn't,
but if you choose the option for Portable, that allows you to use the
Explorer to navigate the filesystem to find the location you want.

The point of my earlier reply is that I backup my entire system, not
just Mozilla. I am not sure why users would backup only Mozilla and not
be concerned about the rest of their systems.

David, I would suggest that Users can get "new" copies of programs from wherever they originally got the programs from, so all they really need to save, IMHO of course, is their personal data, e-mails, letters, etc.
