Are there any hot keys to display e-mail's message body as

read. :(

Thank you in advance. :)
That's the reason for you to switch from plain-text to html.
Same problem, when we see that UTF8 begins to be more and more often
used.(I was very happy with ISO :-( )

I still prefer ASCII plain text for security reason. :(

You can tell SM not to run scripts and plugins in emails if that worries
you. But a bit of boldface or Comic Sans is no danger to anyone unless
they have a very sensitive stomach. ;-)

Edit | Preferences | Advanced | Scripts & Plugins

SM is configured by default to disable those and has been since shortly
after its introduction in early Netscape Communicator if I recall
correctly. Additionally SM mail also block remote content and checks
link mismatch for "scam" flagging which is on by default.

Defaults are all well and good, but they're no guarantee that the user hasn't changed them somewhere along the way. And I know from experience that my personalizations can fade from memory within only a few years. You'll probably be surprised, too, if you poke around about:config, to see how many prefs are marked "user set."
