When I remove a message, it's not done through a cancel message. It's a
web panel that a list of people have access to.

OK, so there is a mechanism for moderators and such, but not for the great unwashed.

So how's about you honor our friend's request and take down the one he's so ashamed of? Those who were here this week saw his apology, but there's no reason to leave it around for newcomers to see.
