But first:
Do not confuse "Local directory" with "Local Folders". "Local Folders" is a
default sub-directory that is created whether you want it or not. I never use it.
It is not practical if you get more that three messages a week.
Each mail account has a sub-directory for it's mail tree. Give the sub-directories
names that are meaningful to you. I have a tree on a data partition. Give the top
of the tree a name that covers all the accounts below it - perhaps "SMMail". That
is a neutral location, that is accessable to all apps, and easy to copy to another
computer or backup location - and backup is just that: copy the tree.
After you have created a mail tree, with a sub-directory for each mail account, and
have copied the mail files from each location, go to the "browse" I listed above,
and show SM where each account is to store it's files.
BTW, each "folder" in SM mail is a file. And where there are folders in folders,
the higher folders are sub-directories.

Thanks Ray, I'll give it a try!
