So how do I stop getting messages from others?
You unsubscribe from the mailing list.
https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Instructions at the bottom of the page.
And, Walt, I thought each list e-mail included the instructions at the
top of the e-mails, too.
It has been awhile since I subscribed to a Mozilla mailing list (just
for a test), but I seem to recall seeing a link to click to unsubscribe
in a signature below the message body.
Walt, Lee responded indicating that the Unsubscribe info may be part of
the header information and not normally showing. Never having used the
list, I cannot say either way.
Thanks, I saw that post. I'm reporting my recollection.
Let's both subscribe to the test list temporarily and see what we get.
If it's not too late, I'll save you the bother ;o) At the bottom of each
message received via the mailing list is the following:

It doesn't make it clear that you can unsubscribe at that last link
though, and the unsubscribe option is at the bottom of the page, hidden
in a section which looks like it's only for list administrators.
I've seen a similar form for other mailing lists, so know where to look
now, but those who don't could easily miss it. I'm pretty sure I missed
the unsubscribe option first time I saw one of those pages for a
different project.
Mark.
Yes, the /support-seamonkey page does seem a bit strange the way it
presents the information .....

To unsubscribe from support-seamonkey, get a password reminder, or
change your subscription options enter your subscription email address:
Un-Quote
then provides a blank field (to enter your e-mail address, maybe) and
then has an "Unsubscribe or edit options" button (which one??)
Would it be feasible to have, at the bottom of each message, something
like ...

To Unsubscribe, click and sent the generated message
mailto: [email protected],subject:Remove
End Quote
