For those of you who have found NoSquint unusable in Seamonkey 2.32
(and above, I imagine) try
http://addonconverter.fotokraina.com/?url=https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
I have no idea what the current version of Seamonkey is, 2.33 broke
too many extensions, and I reverted to 2.32. Apparently Seamonkey is
now using code from the current versions of Firefox, rather than
their mission to use a fork of Firefox 2 or 3, without all the horrid
changes Mozilla made since version 4, and especially since version 29
with the change to make it look like Google Chrome! This converter
worked like a charm for me.
I updated to Seamonkey 2.33.1 & regret it! 2.33.0 never would install,
bombed every time.
What you did Sounds like a good idea, going "back to the future" by
"going forward from the past".
(Seamonkey was doing well, except for profile corruption, before it was
corrupted with Firefox. Mozilla now has it back from the Seamonkey dev.
crew & it is getting worse! Just a cheap clone of Firefox! I tried
Firefox several times & dumped it each time.) Even in FFOS it is
worthless, & FFOS is just another worthless Android - most all serious
code copied from Google!) Irrelevant...
What is the best way for me to follow you backward to ver 2.32.1 without
a total reinstall job? Just Uninstall the ver 2.33.1 update I suffer
now? Or is a fix to this mess due soon?; without a new mess to deal with?
I installed Seamonkey manually, very easy, & receive updates direct from
them, no kiosk/repos! But I find no UNDO update on any Mozilla Seamonkey
webpage. Trying to deal with Seamonkey piecemeal is a pain!
And - Hey Mozilla! Stop all new feature additions! Just Fix existing
problems! Like the reoccurring & decades old corrupted profiles mess!
I suffer too many problems now, including the window top bar
disappearing since 2.33.1 was installed, but only on a Seamonkey window!
All other open windows/programs keep the top bar. (I use Ubuntu 12.04
LTS - kept updated without Unity - another problem desktop; I switched
Ubuntu to Gnome desktop & disabled Unity - to abort ops failures - too
much "unexpected" madness. That stabilized it! I should just install
Mint Linux. It looks good in my trials "try it" mode.)
I still do not receive a copy of what I post to this list! Why? Don't
know yet. I doubt Seamonkey causes it. But stranger things happen.
