Where exactly should I set this feature?
IMAP synchronises mail between the client and server. Provided you don't
delete an email, it should stay on the server and both computers. If you
do delete an email from one computer, it will also be deleted from the
server (and other computer next time it synchronises to the server).
POP is a more limited protocol for downloading email, where the question
of whether to delete emails from the server often arises since it
doesn't allow for 2-way synchronisation as IMAP does. If you access the
same account through POP for any reason, you'll probably want to set
that client to leave messages on the server / not delete messages after
downloading. In SeaMonkey, the option for POP accounts is Edit > Mail &
Newsgroups Account Settings > (Account name) > Server Settings > Leave
messages on server.
Mark.
