On a Dell Optiplex 755 with Windows 7 Home Premium and SeaMonkey
v.2.33.1 and Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2014, when accessing
e-mail I keep getting error messages - G-mail, among them:

"Unable to obtain identification for this site"

Sometimes I am asked to authorize a security exemption and sometimes I
am stopped cold with no way to do anything. If back out of SM and I
turn off KIS, SM will then retrieve the e-mail messages.

As I have no idea if this is a SM or KIS problem I will post the same
query to the Kaspersky site. In the meantime, can anyone enlighten me
as to what is likely to be going on with SM and whether there is any
workaround to stop SM from sending these error messages and blocking
access to e-mail.

Thanks, in advance, for advice, suggestions, or directions to a suitable
tutorial.

Apparently the problem I was experiencing was caused by the inclusion of outdated or superseded security certificates in KIS 2014. Upgrading to KIS 2015 per the advice of Kaspersky support seems to have fixed the problem.
