First of all, Better Privacy is an extension, not a plugin. There are
major differences between extensions and plugins.

* Extensions apply only to the specific application to which they are
installed. For Mozilla-based applications, extensions apply only to the
profile in which they are installed. (For example, I have four
SeaMonkey profiles. I installed some extensions only in two or three
profiles.) Extensions actually change the code of the application (e.g,
the code of SeaMonkey).

* Plugins are installed on your PC independently of any other
application, but they might be installed in conjunction with an
application. (For example, the Adobe Reader plugin is installed when
the Adobe Reader application is installed.) Plugins do not change the
code in SeaMonkey. They remain external and are launched as separate
applications by whatever application uses them (e.g., SeaMonkey).

Your confusion is very understandable. Mozilla did a terrible
disservice to users when extensions and plugins were conceptually lumped
together under the term "add-on".

Now for the meat of your question. Better Privacy has not worked in
SeaMonkey for several versions now. The developer of this extension
stopped making it compatible with SeaMonkey more than two years ago. A
version compatible with SeaMonkey, however, is available from
<http://www.2rosenthals.net/wordpress/help/general-help/betterprivacy-mod-for-seamonkey/>.
This version was created with permission from the original developer.
