Yes, I'm also quite dependent on sync.  I've seen earlier discussion of the 
possibility of closing down the sync server and/or transitioning to the sync 
used for Firefox; I hope we would get some warning if the syncing really were 
being shut down.  Anyway, thanks a lot for the reply; I guess it isn't just me!
