It has been a long-time problem that installing new versions of
Mozilla-based applications over prior versions in some version of
Windows often leaves obsolete entries in the Windows registry. In my
registry, I now see keys for Firefox (which I have never installed);
Thunderbird versions 31.3, 31.4, 31.6, 31.7, 38.1, and 38.5; and Mozilla
Maintenace Service 38.2 but not for Mozilla Maintenace Service 38.5 (my
current version).
