Why is SeaMonkey subject to this new HORRIBLE PRIVACY KILLING login crap at Mozilla Addons site? The site lets me login normally and then transition to the new login says Addons site has never heard of me yet I am logged in by the old method when it says that! I can't get beyond this "we have never heard of you" screen using SeaMonkey 2.39 so I didn't realize how privacy invading the new login is as I can't login on Pale Moon either...there I get different objections. Anyhow, when I tried logging in on Fx 38 ESR that was when I knew the end has come for Fx and Sea Monkey (if it is going to go along with this awful crap).

Part of the problem on SeaMonkey (actually all my browsers including IE 10) is that I use Ask Me setting to manage cookies and that will not work now at Addons on site and I will never change that setting. I have decided to not upgrade to Fx 44 because Ask Me is removed in it. Besides the cookie problem that surfaces in Fx 38 ESR also there is the awful privacy invasion REQUIRED to login. I saw it on Fx 38 ESR. I am stunned that Mozilla has stooped this low as to REQUIRE me to turn on local storage as it says it MUST store a lot crap on my computer if I want to use Addons site. I have NEVER, in all these years, allowed local storage for any site. It is disabled on all browsers and will remain that way as my privacy is extremely important to me. Yes, I can CURRENTLY download from Addons site without being logged in but that too is slated to disappear. Soon we will be forced to login not just to post comments but to download. That doesn't matter much for Firefox since it is committing suicide as soon as it guts XULU extensions but SeaMonkey ...is it going to go insane too?

So, is SeaMonkey going to go along with this disgusting garbage? I recall talk of SeaMonkey and Thunderbird (that I use for mail as well as SeaMonkey mail) getting together and creating their own Addons site. Is that still planned?
