My Mac and an old XP system just say that there's no update available,
as normal. ewong checked and did not see the problem either.

I get the exact same error message as the OP.
"Update Failed".
The next release is not available yet. If you are using official
releases, you cannot update so far. I am using a release candidate,
which I got from the Mozilla ftp site. I got and installed it manually,
which is how I do all my updates.
