What extensions do you have enabled?  I see this problem with certain
news Web pages at <https://www.yahoo.com/>.  I resolve this by
temporarily disabling AdBlock Plus or sometimes (rarely) Secret Agent.
I do not have to leave the extension disabled; instead, I re-enable it
while the Web page is still loading.

I have the PrefBar extension installed, for which I created an AdBlock
Plus checkbox to allow swift disabling and enabling.  Secret Agent
creates an area on the SeaMonkey status bar; clicking that area toggles
between disable and enable.
