I am still using SM 2.26.1 version, which has an update advisory on my Acrobat
plug-in
10.1.3.23. I am reluctant to do this while struggling to get my taxes filed
online.
Does
anyone have any idea if the PDF version I have is going to work ... and IF NOT
... what
plug-in version will work with my version of SM? In other words [whatever it
is] if I
clicked to update, is it going to install OK in my older version of SM?
I don't want to be making any computer/software changes now, unless I
absolutely have to.
TIA for any responses.

P.S. - My total ignorance is due to the fact I never use PDF, and when I looked
at the
Adobe web site and saw all those versions my head exploded. ;)
I also use 2.26.1.
Great!!! :)
My preference is to download the pdf's rather than view online.
That's essentially what I'll be trying to do I think. The instructions I have
are sort of
confusing. I'll trying to download & save my returns to be printed out later
... somewhere.
However, on the very rare occasions that I do view online I use
pdf exchange plugin or foxit plugin.
As far as I am concerned, Adobe viewer will never exist either
on my home machines or work machines.
I have switched from Adobe pdf Viewer to Foxit-Reader ... and I am more happy
My problem is with a new wireless printer that I never learned how to use, and
my
son-in-law who installed it, is on the West Coast. So not being able to print
it out,
prompted me to write Tax Act and ask if I could pay for copies of my return to
be mailed
to me. I'm sure after laughing awhile over that ridiculous request, a very
nice man wrote
me detailed instructions on how to save my return with Adobe PDF, and then
transfer with a
USB drive to print elsewhere and other instructions I haven't absorbed yet. :)
I haven't tried anything yet, but having had problems trying read other pdf
files on web
sites ... I was anticipating problems, and then I saw the update notice to add
to that worry.
So ... knowing PDF is their choice and I just want to be able to download and
SAVE it ...
to be printed out sometime, what do you think is best considering I'm pretty
clueless
about this stuff? TIA ....

Assuming USA, I download the forms from:
https://www.irs.gov/Forms-&-Pubs
then print and work with pencil on the rough copies and then fill in the final
version on the pdf itself with Foxit or Pdf-exchange.
PDF is just a file format. You can save pdf's to usb to print later.
