    Ransomware is often spread through phishing emails that contain malicious
    attachments or through drive-by downloading. Drive-by downloading
occurs when a
    user unknowingly visits an infected website and then malware is
downloaded and
    installed without the user’s knowledge.

hopefully that'll get them to clean up their act.  Or at least have
good backups.

I am.  Which is why I tend to disable "features" that I don't think I
need or want .. like setting geo.enabled to false :)
