I don't think X-No-archive is the issue. I don't think a single Usenet
provider honors that.


I've never understood why people bother to set it in the first place. It seems to run counter to the 'spirit of conversation' that is Usenet. If bits of a thread go missing then it is less like a conversation and more like just overhearing one side of a phone call. Not the most effective form of communication...
