I think Edit > Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings > Synchronization &
Storage > "Select newsgroups for offline use..." is the one you want if
you already have the headers and don't want to wait for the content to
appear when you select a message.
Be aware this will take up space on your hard drive, and may even be
slower retrieving all messages on your slow network.
